Georges-Pierre Seurat(1859–1891) was a French post-impressionist painter and draftsman. He’s credited with creating the artistic techniques of chromoluminarism and pointilism. Both techniques take a more scientific approach to applying color to a work, using tone and form to convey an emotion in the piece. His work inspired and was one of the precursors to Cubism.
